This is a free service to the public. All patient cards are hand-delivered by volunteers. Due to the potential for abuse, images or messages deemed inappropriate by Baptist Health will not be delivered.

Baptist Health Volunteers deliver the cards by hand. Every effort will be made to ensure delivery of your card in a timely fashion. Baptist Health will not be held liable for delays in delivery of cards to patients.

You may not use the E-Mail a Patient function to send or use e-cards in any manner that would constitute the transmission of Spam or unsolicited e-mails. You may not use scripting or other programs to automate the creation and/or transmission of e-cards. Baptist Health reserves the right, in its sole discretion, at any time, and without prior notice, to limit the number of recipients to which you may send an e-card and/or limit the number of e-cards that you may send.

Submitting Credit Card Information

We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology combined with e-mail encryption to ensure the security of e-commerce transactions you submit via our health education class registration, request online service, online store, or the Baptist Health Foundation. All information you submit to our site in a SSL session, is encrypted and protected against disclosure to third parties. Additionally, once your credit card information is received and processed it is deleted from our system; we do not maintain credit card information in our database.

Purpose

The purpose of this Privacy Policy lets you know what information we collect about you when you use our application, how that information is used, and how we use the additional information you provide.

Baptist Health attempts to minimize the amount of your personal information (including relevant health information) stored or retained on your device. Nevertheless, our Applications may collect:

The personal information that you may volunteer while using our services.

  • Device information, such as the device used to access or use the online services, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information. If your device settings permit, we may also collect information about the location of your device, system and application software, and personal information.
  • In addition, to provide you with certain features, our application may request information from servers and systems owned or operated by Baptist Health or its third-party vendors. Those servers and systems may record technical information about that request, such as an IP address. Our application will also request your permission to turn on Location-Based Services one or more times, enabling you to better locate care facilities, specific services available based on your location and doctors near you, and more easily arrange transportation to a care facility, should you choose to access this service.

Baptist Health Location Services employs the use of your background location. Location Services must be enabled on your device for this technology to be employed by Baptist Health. You can enable or disable these services on your device at any time. Baptist Health utilizes Location Services to provide the following experiences while at any of our Baptist Health Facilities that support the technology.

  • Check-In Now service informs our greeting staff that you are approaching or on your way to our facilities
  • Appointment arrival utilizes your phone’s location to notify our team when you’ve arrived

Your Location Services information is anonymous to us, is not stored, nor is it shared or sold in any way or fashion. Baptist Health only utilizes it with your permission and while at our facilities to render the listed services.

Baptist Health Texting Communication Terms and Conditions

When you sign up for text messages (SMS) from Baptist Health, you are signing up to receive text messages related to your relationship with Baptist Health and partners/affiliates, including updates related to your visits, MyChart account, one-time passcode, billing notifications, prescription reminders, and care management. Baptist Health will utilize the mobile number associated with your personal demographic information. Please make every effort to keep your mobile number current. Patients should continue to rely upon direct communication with their provider.

You can opt-out of SMS messages by texting STOP to the respective short code. Your opt-out request will generate one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS messages from the short code you opted out from. If you want to join again, sign up using MyChart or text HELP to the short code for instructions.
